Casablanca Bakery & Catering was founded by Lamyae Charifi, who brought the flavours and traditions of her homeland to St. John’s, Newfoundland. Starting as a small stall at a local farmers’ market while pregnant, she built a loyal following with her authentic Moroccan pastries and savoury treats. Today, the bakery at 85 Bond Street is known for its blend of Moroccan and local Newfoundland flavours, crafted daily with the same love and dedication that inspired her from the beginning. It’s more than a bakery—it’s a taste of Morocco in the heart of St. John’s.

  We went today for the first time of what will be many! The chicken shawarma was next level! We had pistachio croissants and again they are amazing! Also tried the cheesecake and all rave reviews! The prices were good and the food is great! I’m looking forward to another visit and trying some more of their amazing food! Friendly atmosphere!

  Delicious sweets and savory pastries Couscous made every weekend tastes like a homemade sunday dinner Almond croissant tastes better than starbucks and other local places where they make it really doughy and heavy too often.
